Whether ring road authority can demolish our house

In ring road proposal my home and many other homes are in the proposed road and there is empty land just 50 feet away from our home so whether ring road authority will demolish our homes or shift the proposed road map to the open road.
This is very vague question without any legal point raised. Better consult an astrologer!!!
At the most it can be said that authority can demolish the homes after following due course of laws and serving notice etc . If that is not followed you can obtain stay order. Court can sympathacally grant it in case of natural calamity flood etc on humanitarian ground
