What will the leases position be if the don't renew the lease

Actually ..it vl depend on what are the termas nd condition in lease deed.usually there is clause for renewal or surrender of lease . ..if if you do not renew the lease ..u hv to vacate it as you vl have no right on land after expiry of lease if u dnt renew and can face eviction proceeding in future ...or damages etc if provided in lease deed.

As per agreement if it is not renew then it is null and void. As per collector leasehold agreement there were some specific provision are applicable but you have not given clear fact of case hence no prediction.

it is without asking that lessor has right to intitiate legal steps to remove lesee after the end of lease period unless there is renewal clause. It is immaterial if lessor is collector (i.e. State Government). For that matter the lease agreement is material document unless some government policy is the controling factor of lease.
