What to do if flat is purchased by X in Y's name ?

08-Dec-2023 (In Property Law)
My sister had purchased a flat and our Father was co owner. After marriage she sold it to her husband so to save on his taxes. Now the entire house is on husband's name. She is not registered as the nominee. They have their marriage certificate. Now situation is that our Father wants to be the co owner of this house. So is it possible.

Hope she sold it to her husband and the sale involved your father as one of the seller along with your sister. Post this now your brother in law being a sole owner of the flat, can now make your father a co owner by gifting him 50 % share in the property and accordingly your father can become a co-owner.

Whether ur sister while selling flat to her husband your father had given consent for this sell? If yes then legally he can't be co -owner of the flat. Regards for more details revert back to me. Thanks.
