What is the share of daughter in ancestral property Muslim law

1. AS per muslim law what are the rights and how much share of daughter in ancestral property. 2. my grandfather(mummy's fathers) got gifted property from his uncle and after grandfathers death the said old collapsed house by default named on grandfathers elder son. nobody is staying there for long time thats why my uncles on whose named the property is my mummys brother "MAMA they "gifted me. but i have registered the said property with the paying tax to government and i showed as purchased in records with the mutual understanding with them. There is no money matters between us. also i want to know about that is this property come under ancentral and also is there any rights on the property from my mummys sisters. one more thing is that on the record there is no names of other brothers and sisters including my mom of my mama. Please guide what will happen. and what to do in this case. as my mummys sister "MAUSI"filed case in the court. Please guide. Regards, SAjjad Inadmar SAtara

As per your query, if your parent's property was an ancestral property then you will have to take permission from both the sisters and get an NOC in order to distribute the property among the 4 brothers. Whereas, if it was a self acquired property and the parents died before september 2005 then they won't have any right in the property.

It will be proper if you take paid consultancy to compensate the lawyer's stock-in-trade required to advise you. The fact you had mentioned it is not practically possible to give legal solution to your problem.
