What is the right of daughter in fathers property

My father died before 2005 without dividing his property. As a girl am I eligible for claiming share in his property which is going to be divided soon.
Recent judgement does not favour you, post 2005 cases but, you have the rights depends upon the nature of property hold by your parental side. you need to give the complete status of your property holding then only the correct advise can be made in these types of cases.

As per Hindu succession act any daughter has equal right in her father's property as a son has. Dowry and expenses in her marriage shall not bar her from her right in property. So you can claim rightfully.

Yes, u have right to get your share in the property. Before 2005 position is that u cannot file a suit for partition on your own but if other male heirs have filed suit, then u can get your share.
