What are the property rights of my father

04-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi Sir! My grandfather bought a property in the name of my father when he was a minor and passed away without making a will. Can brother or sister of my father stake a claim in this property which is registered in his name? Does this property belong only to my father and he has all the legal rights to sell it and buy a new property? Regards

No it is not applicable because.
Only way is Father has right to sell the property, but have to share the amount equally to brother and sister if any as per Hindu succession law as there is no will made by your grand father...
Or make partition of that property

Yes, your father do have the right on the property. Your father been the Class 1 legal heir, he will only have the right to the property. He will have all the right to sell the property and buy a new property. But hope your father dose not have any siblings.
