What are the conditions for applying adverse possession
22-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
IN WHICH CONDITION PERSON APPLY FOR ADVERSE POSSESSION. IF PERSON CONTINUOUS LIVING MORE THAN 15 YEARS. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE AND HOW IT IS POSSIBLE.
Yes you're eligible for adverse possession but you need to have documents to prove your living for more than 12 years. Also remember adverse possession does not create a new title in the property but only a right to live in and cannot be legally evict from the property. The original owner do not loose his ownership rights but looses the right to evict you legally. That's all. You will not have the ownership right over the property even after adverse possession.
