Wants to give POA to my brother to sell the joint property for us

property in delhi jointly held by my mother+ my brother + me. mother is no more. property is now to be sold. i am not normally in delhi so want to give authority to brother to sell property and to give me my half share. do i give notarised specialPOA ? or any other instrument ? does it have to be registered? if so where?....in delhi ?or where i normally reside or anywhere else.?

You can give a power of attorney but even if you give a no-objection certificate to your brother, that should be sufficient. But just have an agreement beforehand only that whatever proceeds come from the sale of the property would be shared equally between the two of you.
