Want to install lift in building but other members not providing NOC

18-Aug-2023 (In Property Law)
We live on the 4th floor in a building. I am an elderly person and i am also handicapped. Due to which i face trouble on reaching home. I am wiling to spend my own money for installation of lift in my house. But the rest of the residents are not providing me an NOC for the same. What action or court order i can get to install lift?

You just don't need to have a NOC from the other residents of your building but you need to seek permission from the Municipal Commission. After that you can approach the court and file a case for a relief and if the court thinks that you should be given the relief you may be given an order. You can also approach the mediation centre for this and can sit together and get it sorted with the help of a mediator
