Want to buy property with person having general Power of attorney

06-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
Just wanted to know is it safe to buy a property with a person having GPOA? I want to buy a property in bhopal. Property owner is lady with whom I never meet. Her husband is having GPOA in his name. He is residing in Other city. He is saying that her wife can't come to bhopal for registery and other formalities. He has provided us all the documents and registered GPOA under his name. I'm still confused whether to proceed with this deal or not. Please advice

Your confusion/doubt is right.

I think, you should meet her in person atleast one time before proceeding further to buy the property.

Don't trust on documents provided by her husband, because documents, if not forged, can also be executed by any undue influence or pressure.

Meeting her face to face will clear all doubts, about why has she executed the GPOA and why she can't travel, etc. etc.
