unregistered will validity in Govt departments
23-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
Electricity dept & nagar nigam not ready to accept the unregistered will. What should I do now as the concerned person has expired.
I am Hindu.
tell them to give this in writing that they aren't accepting will because it is unregistered.
Further registration of will is not compulsory. unregistered will is equally valid as registered will. However if a will is registered it gives just gives extra value to its genuineness.
kindly contact for further details

You need to seek a declaration of the property that you are claiming through the unregistered will deed. As the department is denying your right you need to seek declaration of your rights against the department.
