Transfer of Property gift deed

We hold a flat which is jointly in me and my brother name. My name is first on the share certificate and now i want to give full ownership rights to my brother who holds the flat jointly since i will be moving abroad due to work. In my case is a gift deed the right thing to do. Please advice.
You can even make a gift deed or even a release deed, both are equally potent both will attract some percentage of stamp duty and registration charges and in any case whatever you make your right will be relinquished from that particular property
