To correct wrong area in city survey

My husband has a land whose city survey records show less aa yards than actual boundaries .we want to sell land .how do we correct this
By filing an application for correction which maybe given with afresh measurements survey sheet issued by the authorities. Then if the Title of the land is clear, you may proceed for selling. Jay Hind!
