Staying in a property for 100 years can landlord evict us
06-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
We have been staying in the property for over 100 years now. We have been paying the municipal tax as well. But now we have received the notice from the zamindar to vacate the property. As we are staying the property for over 100 years, what would be our right and how could we respond to the notice?
Under the law of the land, normally, a landlord has full right to recover his / her possession from his / her tenant. However, this right is subject to a number of conditions and the actual eviction can be resisted on many grounds which depend on the facts and circumstances of the case.
