Someone is claiming ownership of my plot after many years

Hello,
Renu sold the land to Gopal in 2005 Dec. Gopal sold part of this land to me in 2011. Since then I'm in possession of this plot with patta chitta. Recently, I received a letter from someone named Amit, claiming that he is rightful owner of the same plot. He stated that he acquired the property from Centurion Bank in Dec 2005 where it seems Renu pledged her property. Someone appears all of a sudden and is claiming for my plot. What can I do?
First, verify Amit's claim by asking him to produce the sale certificate executed by Centurion Bank and by verifying the EC in respect of the property. If Amit files a suit against you for repossession of the property, you may defend yourself saying that you are a genuine buyer and entitled to title and ownership even by virtue of adverse possession (as you have been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the property for over 12 years now, since 2011).
