Someone claiming my property as theirs
23-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
Someone reported to police claiming my property as theirs. Police asked me to visit and show him the documents. My father used to maintain all the documents. But he passed away last year. I have all the documents except Power of attorney and mutation deed. Is power of attorney and mutation deed important to prove my ownership? Or the other documents are enough to prove ownership?
Thank you.
Police has nothing to do with the case as the case is civil in nature. Even if you dont appear before police no harm will be done. But if you decide to go then dont take originals but Xerox copy of present sale deed.
