Society maintaintence charged double- wrong levy

Dispute raised but No solution, stopped paying maintaince charges for last 15 years, society now ready to rectify its mistake and collect outstanding with interest, society did not file any complaint 101 with registrar or any civil court. Please advice. limitation clause
