selling of property without patta

23-Apr-2025 (In Property Law)
Tamilnadu housing board has allotted a plot directly under my name in the year 1999 (for low income group) I have made all the payments and received the NO objection certificate to obtain the electricity and sewage facilities。 I had constructed a house with ground floor and balcony in the year 2023. Now I wanted to sell the property but no I do not have the sale deed or patta. Kindly let me know the procedures to be followed and what are all the documents required to proceed for sale.

hi, I can well understand your concern from the query raised, firstly apply for a regularisation of title with the Tamilnadu housing board, following which you can approach the TNHB for issuance of sale deed, based on your allotment and payment proof, once obtained you can apply for the patta with the local thasildhar office by submitting the sale deed, noc and tax receipts , thank you
