Seller claiming agricultural land to be his after selling it

Sir we bought 2 acres of Agricultural land in 1989 in our village and registered at Revenue office and we got patta passbook and pahani. Now the issue is the person who sell us the land is saying this is my land you should not cultivate it and saying I have patta passbook for this land . Sir how it possible
