Seller asking for copy of sale agreement can he misuse it anyhow

08-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
I have purchased a house and all paper formalities are completed. Payment to seller is also completed. A month after this had done, the seller is asking for a copy of our papers. For some reasons I doubt seller and my advocate too. Can you please tell me, can the seller misuse copy of my papers. If in any situation I will give him copy of my papers then what precaution I will have to take. How I can make sure he won't misuse my papers

Dear Sir/Madam,
Please enquire from the Seller the reason he is seeking the documents, if you think his reason is genuine. You can provide a xerox copy of the documents to him and thereby stamping on the documents, that the documents are only for the purpose of reference and not for any official use.

First u asked them for what purpose u require above document? Try and understand that for the same purpose can this document is essential without which that work is not competed. Once it is ok then only give xerox copies & without fail take it back.
