Seeking advice on property distribution when brother died

21-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
My father expired on march 2009. We are two brothers and a sister who is married on march 2016, and recently my brother expired on may 2017, and is married but doesn't have any children. And the property belongs to my father. How many shares will the property be divided according to law. We are Hindu. But my brother married a Buddisht girl.

HINDU includes Buddhist, Sikhs, Jains. So Buddhist is also hindu . Your father property will go as per the hindu succession act as per which his property will be equally divided between his wife that is your mother if alive along with 2 brothers and sister . The share of deceased brother will go to his wife. So if your mother alive then 4 shares of property and if she isnt alive than 3 shares of property . Basically while dividing property dead brother is considered alive and given share which ulimately passes on to his wife.
