Rights of daughter in law in father in law's property.

My mother in law wants to partition the house. Father in law is dead.no of children are three 2 girls and one boy. 1 sister spinster other two married.while property purchase and on form 1/14 father and mother names are there currently.my question is can my mother in law sell the property only by her own consent? And how does partition work? I'm the daughter in law what rights do I have ? We are Catholics.

Since your father-in-law has passed away, his share of the property according to law has already devolved upon all children in equal proportions, your husband being one of them. If you are married under the law of communion of assets prevailing in Goa, you are co-sharer to his share. Hence your consent would be required to dispose off your father-in-laws estate
