Right to Inheritance of property jointly owned by father and step mom

My parents are separated ,not legally divorced and we are only 2 sisters. My father has married again (acc to muslin law legally), and he has a son from the second wife. My father has a property before his second marriage and is buying a second property in joint name with second wife, what is the our ( 1st wife and 2 daughters) rights to inheritance. Can we claim inheritance if my father passes away without will. 1st property is in my father's name 2nd property joint name of father and stepmom

You can claim right to your father's property as a legal heir. Also, as far as joint ownership property is concerned, you claim to the extent of your father's share in that property. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal advice as regards the same.

yes.. you two daughters and your mother can claim your respective 1/3rd share in 50% share of your father after his demise without Will. Your stepmother will have a legal right of remaining 50% share of the property.
