Right of married daughter in mothers property after death of parents
23-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi sir, My father died in 1992 and mother died in 2011. Property was bought by father in the name of mother. My question is Can married daughters claim on this property after death of both the parents? Regards, Sanjeev
Yes you are eligible to claim your share in the said property under section 6 of Succession act. You will have to file a partition suit in the civil court having jurisdiction over the locality where your property is.
