Registration Of the Apartment On Our Name.

We Bought a Property In Mumbai In Year 2000, from Previous Owner, Now we Came to Know Its Still Registered On His Name -- Lawyer at that time did not paid registration n stamp duty as we were conned..
But we staying in that property since last 18 years - what can be done to to register it on our name.. We have everything- Sale Deed, Original Agreement from Builder etc
This is my response to you:
1. You will have to pay the current stamp duty and the current registration fees along with penalty;
2. This is a big mistake from your end and it could create other income tax problems as well;
