Regarding the litigation case on the property

12-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
My father filed litigation title case on property in 2014 against his brother? He gifted me the property in 2018. Now if my father loses the case, who is liable for the costs, me or my father? What if any contract of money is done by him with the opposite party, than who is liable? What if the opposition party has a lawyer charging huge money?

Frankly speaking the party who loses the case has to bear the litigation charges and other charges mentioned by the opposite party in his/her petition. The magistrate has got his/her own power to levy cost. It’s just a matter of arguments.

If there is any litigation between your father & uncle then let the court decide who has better title. Everything will be done according to the decree of the court and moreover you are not responsible for the advocate fee of your uncle …thanks
