Regarding property not in name of presently owner

Sir, We are living in our ancient property from last 17 year but paper is not in our name, it's the name of our family member but presently he sold out that land previously 3 to 5 years ago and so what I can do now for legal action.

if the property is ancestral in nature then your relatives cannot sell the property without the consent of all other family members, you can file a civil case against your relative for permanent injunction stay on the sale of the property and prove that the property is ancestral in nature and the person had no right to sell it without the consent of the family members.
