Protection of reg. property showing diff. ownership in patwari record
06-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
We own a small peace of farm property (0.08 acres) behind our house. This property is registered in our name, yet by some mistake, it shows the property is registered as Devasthan property in Patwari records. Now our neighbour saying that he owns this particular property even after the patwari assured that this is not the case. Now he is threatening to sue us and saying he won't let us build anything on it. So my question is, can he sue us. And if so what rights does he have and what can our defense strategy be?
You carry on with enjoying your property.you have valid registered sale deed in your favour.if your neighbour file case against you than submit your written statement before court along with relevant documents.
First of all you to tehsheel office and take the nakal of that perticular property. You will find the actual position of the property. If there is any problm regarding devsthan and all do not vacate the possesion over it. This case will be decide by the competant court and at that time the possesion will matter a lot. Find a good lawyer for this matter.
