Property owned by mother and partition done between brothers.

06-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
The house we live in (30 yrs) is owned by mother. Floor partition has been done verbally and awaited to be written on stamp paper regarding the same. Mother occasionally stays with brother and me. I fear that brother can influence and get the house under his name. What should I do to prevent it? The house has been bought by father in the name of mother (housewife). What are the best options on this to prevent any kind of dispute in future?

Dear Sir.. It will be better if you can get a family settlement done, where you all of you can state the things you want.. In case of any queries you may contact us..

At best you may get your name mutated in the records of nagar Nigam and other statutory records, along with your mother.

Or you may file a suit for partition and declaration and get your share in property declared from the court, this way your rights and title in the property will be secured .
