Procedure to transfer property in wife's name after husband

I have a flat in Navi Mumbai jointly owned by me and my husband. Now that my husband has expired and i am interested to transfer in my individual name. I have a legal heir certificate issued by Tamilnadu Govt. where I stay for the past seven years. Kindly advise me how to go about it. I am a senior ciitizen and have two children who are all settled in Tamilnadu.

You have a certificate having the force of law. The Legal Heir Certificate self attested/attested copy be furnished to the Society.
The society is bound to transfer the shares in your name and has to make you the sole owner having all the rights, title and interest in the said property.
Needless to say that the original heirship certificate has to be shown to the office bearers of the Society, but need not be handed over for any reason whatsoever.
The Application alongwith the certificate has to be furnished to the society and an acknowledge should be acquired of the same.
