POA holder will be cross examined or deposed plaintiff?

20-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)

Suppose I took POA from father / plantiff in civil suit, when the suit is at stage for cross examination, then opposite side advocate will do cross examination of me as a POA holder or still he can do cross examination of my father who is now deposed plaintiff? Also can opposite side advocate ask/send notice to my father for cross examination?

if your POA speaks about all such terms and conditions only then you can be able to act in that suit. And if the case is at the stage of cross-examination, then whether your father has deposed as the witnesss and his chief examination has been done, if so then you will not be cross-examined, the other side Advocate will cross your father only and not you inspite of POA holder. The person who depose as a witness and whose chief examination has been done only be cross examined by the other side Advocate.
