Peoperty type issue. Steps for ancestral property

If my paternal grandfather buys a property in 1954 wil it be considered as ancestral property? And if my father sale this property without me consent what step I can take?

Namaste. there are two schools of thought in succession dayabhaga and mitakshara. we have to study your documents and see whether you fall under mitakshara or dayabhaga. you can only take legal step if you fall under mitakshara. however detailed discussion is required.
