If you visit the local ward office/ BBMP/ BDA/ Local authority office, they will have the neighbourhood town plans and in that you can see what is the nature of the path. If it is a public path, then you can use it to park your car, barring any restrictions by the Authorities (such as no-parking zones). If it is a private path created for the residents at the back, then there might be restricted access for you. Sometimes, there are houses at the back with no access through a main road or cross road, in that case, a special path is created by the authorities for these residents to travel in and out.
