NRI Selling property in Chennai do my daughters also have to sign?

24-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)

I brought a land in Chennai many years of ago and currently living in Canada. I want to return this summer to sell my property. I have four daughters residing in Canada with me, would I have bring all of them with me in order to sell the property. Can they sign a paper with the Canadian or Indian embassy, is that a possible option?

You have bought the property out of your own funds then there is no question of taking a consent or permission from anyone to sell this property. Being your self acquired property, neither your wife nor children have any rights in it during your life time. So taking their signature in the sale deed is not at all necessary, at least legally. Do not have to e anxious about this to this extent. Your signature alone shall be sufficient to execute the registered sale deed.
