Nominee name not there in the bank accounts

I am the legally wedded wife of Colonel P.K.Nayak ,who expired on 21/12/2023 all off a sudden at Jabalpur.I stay in Mysore,as I am working here.
He has not made any nominee in the post office account,as a result the post office has refused to give me his savings .I have two sons.
He had made a will ,in my name.
Please guide me.
In absence of a nominee and without a probated will, the Succession Certificate under Section 372 of Indian Succession Act can also be applied for, specifically for debts and securities (like Post Office savings).
