Neighbour constructing gate partially blocking my main gate.

09-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
The main gate of my house is connected to a six feet wide by-lane (about 60 feet in length). My neighbor has constructed parking space in his property, the entrance (about 5 feet wide) is just 2.5 feet away from my main gate. Now he is trying to construct a grilled gate to the entrance. He is trying to set up the gate in such a manner that the gate will only open outwards onto the 6 feet by-lane ( and not the other way round). He claims he can construct his gate wherever he wants. I fear, he may create nuisance in future blocking the way to my main gate. Is there any legal resort I can take to stop him from constructing the gate in such a way ?

You can file a suit before a competent civil court claiming easementary rights over the use and access of the by-lane. You further need to pray for an order of injunction, restraining your neighbour from construction of said gate.
