Neighbour claims 1.5 feet in my land

Property Location: "Pallathur", Near Karaikudi, TamilNadu Plot Registered on: 10/06/2002 Total Sq. Ft. 2,236 Measurement: Front 34 ft 9 inches, Back 33 ft 3 inches, both sides 67 ft 6 inches Approximately 5.1 cent Obtained patta on 19/06/2002 Obtained plan sanction from panchayat on 13/08/2002 Obtained legal opinion from bank lawyer, got loan from IOB and completed the house construction in 2003 In this situation, last week (Jan 2020) my neighbor reached out to me and saying "1.5 ft of his plot in my boundary." [FYI - He decided to sell his home, and had his surveyor measure the dimensions, post which this issue has come up]" How to deal this situation? What are the appropriate next steps? What should I have to do if he moves to the court?
