Name not found in 7/12 and 8a What can be consequences of not having I

Plot purchased in 2005 in rural area.took loan and built a house there.. But now i saw that name is not there in 8A and previous owner is asking 1lakh for getting name registered in 7/12 although the land purchase papers are .will be there any negative consequences of not having name in 7/12 n 8a
You will have to have the mutation entries in your name in the land revenue records at the earliest. If you do not do so, you wouldn’t be in a position to sell it. And there are chances that the earlier owner might create third party interests based on his name in records.
