mutate name after the death of donor

my question is that my father who is a donor has gifted me his property during his life time and i didnt mutate my name till he was alive now i would like to mutate the name. so do i need to get any other documents. My father gifted me property because he was betrayed by his wife and daughter by giving his hard earnerd money land to his daughter. That land was purchased by him in his wife name. so that land is now has court case. how to avoid any legal dispute. i belong from hindu religion

you have to contest the case in the court. Defense can be regarding validity of the gift. and whether the property is self acquired property or not. Substantial question here will be only towards the self acquired property status and validity of gift and whether it is registered or not.
