Mother agriculture land and its disturibution inherited fr grandmother

can a agriculture land gotten from mother side have to be distributed equally like the one from father,s side ? Does a land owened by mother have to be partitioned ? Can it be name after only one daughter? can a mother choose 1 among 4 Children as caretaker Or as owner for the land ? Can a daugher in law claim property right on the land belong to and inherited by her mother in law in case her husband has not given any share .
In case it is ancestral property, down four lineal descendants would have right by birth. In case property is self acquired property or not an ancestral property, it would be sole discretion of the mother to dispose it off whichever way she feels appropriate.
