Made two will which will is a valid will

14-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
Under the Christian law, if a widow made a will in 1997 and willed 1/3 of her share to one son. Then changed the will in 2011 sharing it equally among all children, which Will is more valid, if registered, but not probated? The 1997 will has been probated, but the 2011 will is only registered not probated. Can the 1997 will be challenged and what cost will it involve? Also is it necessary to now probate the 2011 as the earlier will of 1997 has been probated? No court notices were given to the other members of the 1997 will, that was probated, only a newspaper ad, so is this probation valid?

The Issued Probate has to be challenged by you on the ground of the non service of citation and further the probated will is not the last will of the Deceased.

The Last Will of the Deceased is considered to be the final will and to be probated if proved otherwise.

Latest will is valid . That is will made on 2011 is valid if all condition is fulfilled. To challenge will it require proper verifying documentation and cost depend up on the same thing.Probate is mandatory to enforce it. Give public notice in vernacular language by local advocate.
In your case u need to give legal notice through court to other members who will be benefited by that will.
