LA filing for both of us need to be appointed administrators

25-Sep-2026 (In Property Law)
Both of us need to be appointed LA administrators to ensure continuity if one becomes sick or incapacitated. Please advise whether filing through POA will cause any issues. Deceased died intestate. Thank you.

If the deceased died intestate, both eligible legal heirs can generally seek appointment as Administrators; however, filing through a Power of Attorney (POA) is usually permissible for procedural representation, provided the POA is valid and properly executed. The POA holder acts on behalf of the applicant and does not become the Administrator in their own right. If continuity is the concern, the petition should specifically seek joint appointment of both persons as Administrators, or appropriate alternate directions in case one becomes incapacitated.
