Is there any legal way to stop grandmother from selling the land?

14-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi, The land where we live now is in the name of my Grandmother. My father were six brothers and 1 sister. My grandfather has expired. My father and his elder brother have also expired leaving my grandmother, her four sons and I daughter. The house where we live at present is build on the same land and my father has also build the toilets. Now my grandmother wants to sell the land but I do not want to lose my family home. Is there any legal way to stop her from selling the land?

Dear Querist, any person who has a share in the property may file a civil suit for partition. With the suit, an application for an injunction can also be filed which would prevent anyone from dispossessing the property pending the outcome of the suit. Please feel free to get in touch if you require any further clarifications. Best Regards, Dhruv Banerji.
