Is there a difference between plot number and door number

we bought an old house and demolished it and built a new 2 floor house,... As only plot number mentioned in the old property papers as "166"... i want to know, Is land number or plot number itself is door number or it is different? Can i use that number itself for adress proof

1. Whatever the number mentioned on the old property papers, the same can be used as address proof for any kind of communication.

2. I suggest you to talk a lawyer along with all property papers once.
