Is Divorce Decree Required For Release Deed

Me and my wife have filed for mutual divorce petition. As per the petition, I am supposed to execute the release deed of our co-owned flat in bangalore on behalf of her before the divorce is finalized. Is divorce decree required for the release deed to be executed. Can we submit the mutual divorce petition instead of decree as it states clearly to execute the release deed before divorce judgment is finalized.
