Interest on delay in Handing over the Apartment

Apartment registered in June 2019, but handed to us by builder only in Jan 2020 as the apartment was not ready until Jan 2020. Is the builder liable to pay interest on the loan we had obtained for the period from June 2019 to Jan 2020
