In what proportion property is divided among siblings

Hi, I are total 8 brothers and sisters. My parents are no more. Before death my mother has given me some cash & gold as a custody. Now all my brothers/sisters wanted the share from that amount. I am ready to give but % of share is creating problem as everybody wants extra share. Is it possible for me to make any of 5 from them as Power Of Attorney or may be custodian/guardian to that amount so that I will be move out this problem.
Division of property is governed by Succession Act.

I would suggest you to handle the home as an elder of the family, make your brothers and sisters understand things and distribute equally among them.
