Illegal possession of property without any rent deed

Till the time my husband was alive, he had given his garage for living to his driver for free since 10yrs. Now my husband has passed away and I hv no source of income. So, I thought of putting the garage on rent. I told the driver to evacuate the place, bt he is giving me threats and not wanting to leave. Please tell me the legal procedure to follow so as to get my property evacuated at the earliest without any harassment.
