I want to know whether can we buy Mafi Inam land.

03-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
I was looking to buy a land and got to know that it is "Mafi Inam" land. This land was purchased by some person X from the actual inamdar and got the registration and mutation done on his name. Now the person X is planning to sell this land and i am planning to buy. I came through some articles and questions posted in various forums saying person who got the land as mafi inam has right to enjoy it but doesn't have right to sell the property. Can someone please clarify if one can buy / should not buy mafi inam land. If in case one can purchase such land, what documents(like ORC, NOC from collector etc) should we look for before buying it.

A Mafi Inam Land is a land provided to a Muslim to perform service. But it does not mean that he acquires title to the property.
A Mafi Inam Landi is a Wakf property and will always be WAKF property.
Without an Order from WAKF Tribunal to sell the property, you should not buy this land.
