I have sold my part of the property but within a month of selling

I have sold my share of the property and within a month of selling it, my brother has put a case against me.
There are however two issues:
In the will of my father, it was mentioned that I should give first preference and consult my brothers before selling which I tried many many times (have proof of messages and emails) but they never responded or showed interest. Now when when I have sold it already to a third person then they have a filed a case against me.
